tiffers: tagged!

i wanted to vlog for you guys today, but i feel like totally crap.  like, sinus-y allergy-y crap and i just want to lay around and be lazy and whine. . .so i decided i’d do this tag thing in written word form, that way i can answer all the questions without taking up an hour of your time!

1.     What was your favorite food when you were a child?

hmm, i don’t really remember having a favorite food. . .just general kid stuff, like pizza and macaroni and cheese.

2. What's the #1 most played song on your iPod?

my iTunes and iPod go through so much crap (what with crashing computers and having to get music all over again) i can’t say for sure.  i do remember placebo’s ‘running up that hill’ being really high before the last crash, like into the 500’s or so.

3. What is one of your favorite quotes?

‘what goes around usually gets dizzy and falls over.’

4. What's your favorite indoor/outdoor activity?

art and crafty stuff.  outside i like to take pictures, inside i like to crochet and draw and such.

5. What chore do you absolutely hate doing?

vacuuming.  vacuuming sucks, but i guess that’s the point.

6. What is your favorite form of exercise?

DDR!!  i love to flail around and pretend to dance.

7. What is your favorite time of day/day of the week/month of the
year?

my favorite time of day is evening, when it’s just starting to get dark.  my favorite day of the week is saturday (cuz chris is off) and my favorite month is september cuz it’s my birthday!  :D

8. What's your least favorite mode of transportation?

the bus.  had some scary weird times on a few greyhound buses as a child.  i’d rather not ever do that again.

9. What is your favorite body part?

paaaaaaaaasssssss.

10. What sound do you love?

music, kitties and cute stuff.

11. If you could throw any kind of party, what would it be like and
what would it be for?

i want another eighties party.   mandy loved my eighties party for my 21st birthday, but i had an awful time.  i want a do over.

12. If you could paint a picture of any scenery you've seen before, what would you paint?

the ocean.  there’s nothing like it, must be the california girl in me.

13. If you could choose to stay a certain age forever, what age would it be?

i’d have to agree with mandy and go 21, not even for drinking or anything, it’s the youngest adult age that you can have all sorts of fun.

14. If you knew the world was ending in 2012, what would you do differently?

i don’t think it is ending, but if it was i wouldn’t want to live my life any differently, i’d keep going on like nothing was gonna happen and just hang out with my family and my love.

15. If you could choose anyone, who would you pick as your mentor?

i dunno, i need some sort of art mentor but don’t really have anybody in mind.  i guess because i don’t really have a style of my own yet to find somebody to help me with it.

16. If you could witness any event past, present or future, what would it be?

i would like to have seen the titanic in its awesome glory before it sank.

17. If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?

i would want to paint.  i’m not good at painting, i want to paint portraits and cool stuff like that. . .

18. If you had to work on only one project for the next year, what would it be?

can i just lump a bunch together and say ‘house’?  so many things to clean and plant and dead things to pull out of the ground and some emo poetry to get off the wall. . .so much to do!

19. If you were immortal for a day, what would you do?

i dunno.  even if i was immortal i’d be to scared to do something that would hurt me. . .

20. If you had to change your first name, what would you change it to?

i like my name. . .i like the nice ‘eeeee’ sound.  i’d  still have to have it.  a nice ‘eeee’ sounding name.

21. If you could meet anyone, living or dead, who would you meet?

i don’t really have one for this.  i’m not good at meeting famous people.

22. If you won the lottery, what is the first thing you would do?

pay off my family’s debt (including my own).  then to disney world!  :D

23. If you were reincarnated as an animal/drink/ice cream flavor, what would it be?

this is such a weird question.  why would i want to be a drink or an ice cream flavor?  i don’t want to be eaten.  i want to come back as a fat ass house cat.

24. If you could know the answer to any question, besides "What is the meaning of life?", what would it be?
i want to know where my socks go in the dryer.  for realsies.  it’s the simple things in life, people.

25. If you could be any fictional character, who would you choose?

sophie, from howl’s moving castle.  awesome book and i could live in a moving castle and do magic and stuff.  awesome.

26. Which celebrity do you get mistaken for?

kelly osbourne, like mandy.  i hated it, personally.  you just have to be chubby and have short hair and apparently you look just like kelly osbourne.

27. What do you want to be when you grow up?

a fairy princess.

28. When you have 30 minutes of free-time, how do you pass the time?

fuck around on the internet.

29. What would you name the autobiography of your life?

hmm.  ‘weird artsy dreamer’ is how i label myself on the internet, so i think it fits.

30. What songs are included on the soundtrack to your life?

too many.  i’m just gonna iTunes list at you, so in no particular order:  black sheep – metric, knights of the island counter – dave melillo, hysteria – def lepard, the chain, big love, sweet girl, rhiannon – all by fleetwood mac, a bunch more.

31. Have you ever had something happen to you that you thought
was bad but it turned out to be for the best?

i met a few guys that were total douchebags, but if i hadn’t gone through them i wouldn’t be where i am now.  :3

32. What was one of the best parties you've ever been to?

i don’t party.  dad has had a few epic poker parties that were pretty cool, i like watching drunk people.

33. What was the last movie, TV show or book that made you cry or tear up?

the last harry potter.  D:

34. What's the hardest thing you've ever done?

quitting my job at claire’s.  i had to stand up for myself and tell them that that job sucked and i wasn’t being treated fairly.  it’s was super hard, but it was worth it.

35. What was the last experience that made you a stronger person?

see above.

36. What did you do growing up that got you into trouble?

nothing really.  i was the good child.  mandy was the one puking and stuff all the time.  :P

37. When was the last time you had an amazing meal?

anytime chris cooks for me i have a great meal!  he just made me spaghetti cuz i was sick and slept through dinner.  :3

38. What's the best/worst gift you've ever given/received?

chris gave me something our first christmas together that was so bad he didn’t want me to open it.  i don’t even remember what it was.  the best was my engagement ring last year.  :3

39. What do you miss most about being a kid?

doin’ whateves i wanted!

40. What is your first memory of being really excited?

kentucky kingdom!  but then when we got there i was too small to ride most of the rides. . . .

41. What was the first thing you bought with your own money?

the big thing i bought with my first paycheck from my first job was an iPod mini.  i had it for many many years, until it was like an iPod dinosaur.

42. When was the last time you were nervous?

prolly my job interview at walmart, just because i needed a job so much!

tiffers: waffle house madness!

so, my day was mostly ruined yesterday and i was quite sad.

it started out awesome, i got my job (yay!), had to go pee in a cup (boo!), then have an awesome yay breakfast with my dude at the waffle house.  i knew waffle house was gonna be a million points, so chris and i decided on salad for dinner (taco salad!  7 pts!).  and all was well with the world.

come to find out, an entire party was coming to our house and didn't tell us until about 20 minutes before it got there.

needless to say, i raged.

not because of the party.  i like parties.  i would have loved that party if i had known about it the day before.  so i was mad cleaning (didn't clean cuz didn't expect a PARTY to show up) and getting dressed (again, wasn't expecting a PARTY).  and i was mainly angry because when the party did show up, it showed up with pizza and ice cream cake.  luckily, this is what weekly points are for, but i'd rather not use them so early in the week. . . .

chris and i avoided the pizza (it was papa john's, way to many points) and had a small piece of cake (i counted it as ten points).  i still made my salad, i had two servings of it and have some left over for today.  i ate like half a head of lettuce, mandy would be so proud.  anyway, i still even ate more salad then i should have because i was craving this gooey melting ice cream cake sitting in the middle of the kitchen.  i figured i'd be better off in the long run going over points with salad than with cake.

so it's wednesday and i'm already down to 32 weekly points.  SIGH.

BACK TO THE WAFFLE HOUSE MADNESS though.  i got a tasty ham and cheese omelette, hold the yolks (which it's fifty extra cents to do that.  SIGH.) and the damn thing was still 14 points!!  so i decided to go on a mission to make a BETTER and LESS POINT-Y omelette.  which i did.

this one is easily twice the size of the one i got at waffle house and was only FIVE points.  it's three egg whites (0 pts), 2 cut up low fat hot dogs(2 pts, it's a childhood fav, i don't know if people still actually eat that as adults but I DO), 1/3 cup diced tomatoes (0 pts) and 1/3 cup shredded cheese (3 pts).  put a little hot sauce on top (hot sauce and eggs just go together) and it was freakin' delish.  plus it lasted way longer than 5 bites like the waffle house one.

i can only assume it's the cheese and the butter that made the waffle house one so many points.  and it was only two egg whites, i'm pretty sure.  and it was like, sliced american cheese which i'm not a super fan of.  it gets plastic-y when it gets cold.  ewwwww.

so that's it.  go enjoy yourself a tasty omelette today!

love, tiffers.

tiffers: weigh-in, bitchy scale and ramen noodles.

a new ramble-y tiffers video.  you know you love it.

anyway, he're is a picture of my scale compared to my laptop:

it would be easier to stand on my laptop, but far less productive.
my feet look fine on it in this pic, but you can't see the way my knees are bent
up and smooshed together to make my feet fit.

so that's my douche-y scale.  i actually think my thighs are too fat, which is why it's hard to get my feet to stay on it.  damn you, fat thighs!  damn you to hell!

also i only weigh 216 if i weigh on the carpet.  maybe i should weigh on the carpet all the time!

a random scale blog.

ha.  really i'm just procrastinating.  i'm tired of reading about medieval monasteries and chris won't do my homework for me.  gosh, chris, what do i have you for if you won't even do my homework for me?!

anyway, i went to the health dept. the other day for a cholesterol and sugar test (alls good, my sugar was a little high but apparently nothing to worry about).  i was most excited because every time i go to the heath dept. they weigh me!  and i love being weighed on awesome accurate scales that i can fit both my feet on!  and the best part. . .

weight in at 266.6 pounds!  that's 2.something pounds down from last weigh in!

of course, that's not an official number because it wasn't weigh-in day.  sigh.

but anyway, i wanted to use that number to test my scale again.  you probably remember my last 'i-hate-my-scale' blog.  it's pretty off.  so we checked it against that number and it was 266.8 on my scale.  which isn't that off.  i'm going to assume the problem was with me weighing myself.  when i weigh myself i have to look down at the scale (like, over my belly cuz i'm still all jiggly), so i put more weight on the scale and it changes.  where as if chris weighs me (with me on the scale staring straight ahead) it seems to be pretty accurate.  only a tiny bit off.  i need to get you guys some pictures of my tiny scale, it's weird and tiny-like.

i'm still only blogging to not do my homework. . .

i don't feel like being a responsible adult right now!

well, back to procrastinating.
